CenterLockTM Premium Vinyl Siding by Alside
Alside Centerlock is a favorite product of many of our installers and home owners. In recent years it has been featured as Sears "best". It features very tight seams because of its' patented unique interlocking system. In addition to making the seams tighter than competitive products, the added bends add rigidity to the panels. Centerlock actually tested out in our tests in second place overall behind Alside's other top product Charter Oak.
Surprisingly, the Centerlock panel tested more rigid than the fiberglass rod supported Wolverine Benchmark, the 55 mil. Wolverine HP, Alcoa 48 mil. Liberty Elite, & Certainteed Monogram. I haven't tested it against Craneboard, because Craneboard with the foam backer bonded to it , is in a different class of products, but when tested against its' peers, this is a remarkable product.
The Centerlock design puts a shadowline under every panel making it one of the prettiest patterns ever when viewed from below as on two story and higher buildings. Considering the value per dollar invested with this product, and its' exceptional beauty, I'd have to vote it a "Best buy" and a great choice for any home.

Overlaps almost disappear.
Competitive vinyl sidings are joined only at top and bottom, so they can pull apart at mid-panel, causing unsightly gaps at overlaps. CenterLock's advanced locking system keeps panels tight to the wall, producing smooth, flat laps that last.
With Centerlock you see the realistic look of individual boards.
With ordinary vinyl sidings, you can see a slight variation between the upper and lower "boards" of each panel. But not with CenterLock. Because it uses two locks in each panel, every CenterLock "board" is identical. The result is true look-of-wood beauty.
Advanced design adds true look-of-wood beauty. Ordinary vinyl panels are secured at two points - nailed at the top, locked at the bottom.
Only CenterLock adds a positive interlock midway down the panel. The second lock pulls panels flat and keeps them tight, producing smooth, even walls with the look of traditional wood siding. This additional bend in the design locks the center of the panel and gives a natural shadow line to every panel rather than every other panel so it looks much more real when viewed from below. Great news for two story homes and buildings!
