We
are proud to install LBL windows which have proven themselves in
the Northwest. One of the things LBL does very well is quality control
unlike some of the well advertised big names. (Personally,
I believe they should direct some of their advertising dollars to
inspections and R&D) LBL achieves their success thru
quality control checks, superior design and rigid product testing
in adverse conditions.
In
addition to a lengthy track record of proven performance, LBL regularly
tests all of its windows according to stringent NFRC and AAMA standards.
They are serious about maintaining and improving the quality of
your windows, because their reputation depends upon it.
AAMA weatherability test verifies the vinyl's ability to retain
color and withstand impact when exposed to various climates.
A
special house built in the Arizona desert is used to conduct long
term field tests on LBL windows. A sunny exposure with an air conditioned
interior duplicates daily conditions in your home. Well actually
we will never experience the Arizona heat here in WA., but it is
good to know our LBL windows will withstand that kind of heat and
UV.
LBL
Windows undergo a variety of tests to insure that they give a lifetime
of service without problems.
LBL
Windows meet or exceed structural performance standards established
by the AAMA. Performance tests include resistance to air infiltration,
water leakage, forced entry, and wind load pressure. (This photo
shows a wind load test in progress. ) A look at the cut away view
of the LBL frame shows all the extra internal chambering that
gives LBL windows their superior strength and long term performance.
By
exposing vinyl profiles to heat as high as 300 degrees F., AAMA
can test for stress related surface changes such as blistering
and cracking.
