Garden windows are a wonderful treat for any home. You'll love having a garden window in your house. This is actually my vinyl window and besides being the perfect place for your plants and knick-knacks, the window makes your kitchen feel larger and brighter. Our windows come standard with plant shelves and vertical opening sliders on the sides. Plants really thrive in these windows and they are a great place to revive your less healthy plants. Plants grow well with the high technology Low E glass. I theorize that the loss of solar heat from the efficient glass is offset by the sheer amount of glass surrounding the plants. The base of the garden window can be optionally tiled, covered with Formica or whatever other material you prefer. I used Formica for my window because of the easy clean up of plant leaves and water.

Hint: Herbal tile patterns and those with flowers mixed in with a neutral color pattern background make some of the nicest looking bases for the bottom of your garden window.
