Dark colors are one of the main attractions of the Quest 3 product line. Beware warranty policies however (read below)

Alcoa is one of the oldest siding manufacturers in America. Mastic is another company under the Alcoa "umbrella." The top product under the Mastic name is the Quest 3 line.Mastic has a long history of building quality siding and invented the original "T" lock installation lock that has become an industry standard. At one time, Mastic was a major manufacturer of vinyl in its' own right. Quest 3 is a nice product line with impressive specifications. It is a 44 mil nominal thickness, hurricane rated (190 mph), features a strong double strength nail hem, and a 3/4 inch profile height. The manufacturer claims it is 200% more rigid than normal vinyl sidings. The color chart is large and varied with 19 color choices. The grain pattern nicely resembles straight grained cedar. Mastic uses a Geloy resin technology for high performance and color retention which they claim provides superior fade resistance. We have had some problems of late with faded siding and the warranty policy of Mastic(Alcoa) doesn't begin to cover the needed replacement costs. Thankfully some of our loyal installers (and our company) have been willing to work for wages far below the industry average to help our customers or they (our customers) would be out a lot of money.

Mastic's BEST

Quest 3

Quest 3 is Mastic's top of the line product.

Quest 3 has impressive specifications quite similar to the Grand Sierra line (2 mil. thinner) and expands the range of color options quite dramatically. The Quest 3 line offers dark deep colors such as Redwood(barn red), Sawmill ( a deep brown), and Pine Needle (a nice forest green) as well as offering multi hued colors with a Kynar finish. Mastic Quest 3 utilizes the same Geloy resins, has a 190 mph wind rating, and carries a similar warranty to the Grand Sierra line. The manufacturer claims it is 200% more rigid than normal vinyl sidings. Are you ready for a great rumour? It is rumoured Quest 3 will be available for you in most any color you choose as a custom order option, just as you order paint. update: WA's oldest Alcoa supplier closed shop so I think this rumor is losing credibility here.

note: Alcoa owns Mastic Corporation which manufactures a similar product line called Quest 3.

Alcoa Structure

Alcoa Structure is the newest Alcoa product to try to compete with Craneboard. It has a blue foam behind its' vinyl siding panel and looks quite nice.
